Some of these individuals will be familiar to you. Other names you may recognize but really don't know much about. That's why we're here.To help you, the sports fan, get to know some of the people who have contributed to the glory of sport.

• Follow the progress of the McDonald's LPGA Championship by Clicking Here.

• Kelly Kulick has won the USBC Queens in Charlotte, N.C. CLICK HERE

• The Lane Frost Challenge, one of the premier bull riding events in the world, will feature a separate women's division this year. The Challenge is set for May 18-19 in Vernal, Utah. For more information. CLICK HERE. Results will be available here when the challenge is complete.

• The Philly Rollergirls travel team, the Liberty Belles, defeated the Texas Rollergirl Hustlers 89-76 on April 28 in Philadelphia. The LIberty Belles entered the bout ranked 13th nationally.

• The Rat City All Stars from Seattle, Wash. are the top-ranked team in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association's latest rankings. The All Stars won the WFTDA's Western Regional  championship in February. The Saddletramps, from Tuscon, Ariz. are listed second in the rankings, which are based on results through the first quarter of this year. • Ten bouts between Women’s Flat Track Derby Association travel teams highlighted the East Coast Derby Extravaganza  March 17 and 18, at the Sportsplex in Feasterville, Pa. near Philadelphia. The host Philly Rollergirls and the Carolina Rollergirls from Raleigh, N.C. won two bouts each. The event was sanctioned by the WFTDA and is being hosted by the Philly Rollergirls.

• The Ohio Roller Girls will host the Women's Flat Track Derby Association Eastern Regional championship tournament on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18-19 at Battelle Hall in the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus. A total of 16 teams from east of the Mississippi River will compete, with the top four finishers advancing to the national championships  in Austin, Texas in September. Four Western Regional teams have already qualified.
 
 

• The Rat City All Stars from Seattle, Wash. defeated the TD Saddletramps 83-72 in the championship bout of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association's Western Conferene championship on Feb. 18 in Tuscon, Ariz. They will advance to the eight-team national championship tournament in Austin, Texas in September, along with the Texas Texacutioners and the Kansas City Roller Warriors, who finished third and fourth, respectively.

• A new sports talk show with an all-female lineup has made its debut on the web. Find out what SportsBabes is all about by CLICKING HERE.

• The Philadelphia Liberty Belles defeated the Boston Massacre 144-112 in a Women's Flat Track Derby Association bout in Boston on Feb. 10. The Liberty Belles are part of the Philly Rollergirls organization.
