LPGA Opens 2003 Season posted 3-5-03
The finest golfers in the world will be in action when the LPGA Tour kicks off its 2003 season on Thursday. Laura Diaz will defend her title at the Welch's/Fry's Classic in Tuscon. The tournament is worth $800,000, with the champion taking home $120,000.
Annika Sorenstam will not be in the field, but most of the other big names in golf will be. The tournament runs through Sunday. The Golf Channel will handle the telecast all four days. Check the LPGA.com website will provide updates.
