Ariana Grande Ducks a Victoria’s Secret Wing at the Last Second
Ariana Grande was booked for the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at exactly the right moment in her career, with her singles everywhere and the runway offering the kind of visibility a young pop star dreams about. She sang while models in enormous fantasy wings paraded past her, and for a few minutes the whole thing looked as polished as the brand intended.
Then model Elsa Hosk came by with a particularly wide set of wings and clipped the air right where Grande’s head had been a half second earlier. Grande dropped into a crouch with her eyes enormous, and a photographer caught the exact frame. It travelled faster than any of the glossy promotional shots, and she later joked about surviving the encounter.
